Use AutoPoster from your AI assistant.
Add AutoPoster to ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Codex or Cursor. Your assistant reads your queue, drafts posts and runs them through your checks. It signs in as you, and it can't approve anything you couldn't.
Connector address
https:// autoposter .ajmalaksar .com /mcpEvery assistant below uses this one address. You sign in with your AutoPoster account; there is no key to copy or keep safe.
What it can do, and what it can't.
Your assistant goes through the same doors you do, with your role. What you can't do in the dashboard, it can't do either.
It can
- Read your connected accounts, your queue and your posting times.
- Read your brand's rules, each platform's limits and your posting guidelines.
- Read your ideas list, add ideas and move them along.
- Read how your Instagram and Threads posts did, and plan with those numbers.
- Write drafts and run them through the same checks you do.
If you are an admin and you ask it to
- Approve a post, or publish it now.
- Pull an approved post back, move it to a new time, or delete it.
- Change the brand's rules, a platform's limits or the guidelines.
It can't
- Approve or publish anything if you are a member, not an admin.
- See a workspace you don't belong to.
- Get a draft past the checks. A draft that fails comes back, whoever wrote it.
- Act without a trace. Everything it does is recorded as you, through an AI assistant.
- Make images or video. AutoPoster works with words; bring your own files.
Say draft when you mean draft.
An assistant won't publish on its own initiative. It can still read an instruction too loosely: “schedule these for next week” means draft them, but a keen assistant might reach for approve.
So say draft or leave it for review when that is what you mean, and keep approve for the moment you mean it. If a post turns up that you don't recognise, the activity record shows who made it and how.
How approvals are recorded- You
Draft three posts for next week from the ideas list.
- Assistant
Drafted three for @wrenhollow. Two passed your checks. One came back: hurry is on your list of words to avoid. Reword it?
- You
Yes. Leave all three for me to approve.
- Assistant
Done. All three are waiting for your review. I haven't approved anything.3 need review
Set it up.
A few minutes in any of them. You need an AutoPoster account; we're in a closed beta, so request access first if you don't have one.
In Claude (web and desktop)
On claude.ai and in the Claude desktop app, AutoPoster is a custom connector. You add it once.
Plans. Any plan, including Free, which allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise an owner adds it first.
- In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
- Click +, then Add custom connector.
- Paste the connector address and click Add.
Connector address https://autoposter .ajmalaksar .com /mcp - When Claude asks, sign in with your AutoPoster account and allow access.
- Ask Claude: "What's waiting for review in AutoPoster?"
On a Team or Enterprise plan
An owner adds the connector first: Organization settings, then Connectors, Add, Custom, Web, and paste the address. Then each member opens Customize, then Connectors, finds AutoPoster and clicks Connect.
Use it in Claude Code too
A connector you add here also appears in Claude Code when you sign in to Claude Code with the same Claude account. You do not run a command. It does not appear if Claude Code uses an API key or a cloud provider instead.
In Claude Code
One command in your terminal. Sign-in happens in your browser.
Plans. Any way of signing in to Claude Code. Connectors added on claude.ai need a Claude account sign-in.
- Run this in your terminal:
Claude Code command claude mcp add --transport http autoposter https://autoposter .ajmalaksar .com /mcp - Start Claude Code, type
/mcp, choose autoposter and sign in with your AutoPoster account in the browser. - Ask: "What's waiting for review in AutoPoster?"
Already added it in Claude on the web?
Then it is already here. Claude Code lists the connectors from your Claude account when you sign in with that account: type /mcp and choose AutoPoster. This does not work if Claude Code signs in with an API key, Amazon Bedrock or Google Cloud.
Every project, or share it with your team
The command above adds AutoPoster for you, in the project folder you run it in. Choose where it lives with --scope. From a project file, Claude Code asks each person to approve the server, and each person signs in with their own AutoPoster account. Nobody shares a key.
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user autoposter https:// autoposter .ajmalaksar .com /mcpclaude mcp add --transport http --scope project autoposter https:// autoposter .ajmalaksar .com /mcp{
"mcpServers": {
"autoposter": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https:// autoposter .ajmalaksar .com /mcp"
}
}
}ChatGPT
On chatgpt.com, AutoPoster is a custom app in developer mode.
Plans. Pro, Plus, Business, Enterprise and Education plans, on the web. On Business, Enterprise and Education an admin may have to allow developer mode first.
- In ChatGPT, open Settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Open Apps, click the plus button and choose to create an app for a remote MCP server.
- Paste the connector address and choose OAuth as the sign-in.
Connector address https://autoposter .ajmalaksar .com /mcp - Sign in with your AutoPoster account and allow access.
- In a new chat, choose Developer mode from the plus menu, pick AutoPoster and ask: "What's waiting for review in AutoPoster?"
Confirmations
ChatGPT asks you to confirm each action that writes, such as saving a draft. That is ChatGPT's own check. AutoPoster's checks and your role still apply.
Codex
Two commands in your terminal. Sign-in happens in your browser.
- Add the server:
Codex add command codex mcp add autoposter --url https://autoposter .ajmalaksar .com /mcp - Sign in with your AutoPoster account:
Codex login command codex mcp login autoposter - Start Codex and ask: "What's waiting for review in AutoPoster?"
Cursor
One click if Cursor is installed on this computer, or one entry in a settings file.
Opens Cursor and adds the AutoPoster server. Cursor asks you to sign in.
Or add it by hand:
- Open
~/.cursor/mcp.jsonfor every project, or.cursor/mcp.jsonin one project. - Add this entry and save. If the file already lists servers, add AutoPoster next to them.
mcp.json { "mcpServers": { "autoposter": { "url": "https://autoposter .ajmalaksar .com /mcp" } } } - When Cursor asks, sign in with your AutoPoster account.
Windsurf, VS Code and other assistants
Windsurf, VS Code and anything else that takes a remote MCP server over HTTP with sign-in use the same address. It finds the sign-in by itself.
- Add a remote MCP server in the assistant and paste the connector address.
Connector address https://autoposter .ajmalaksar .com /mcp
Gemini CLI
Add the server, then run /mcp auth autoposter inside Gemini CLI and sign in with your AutoPoster account.
gemini mcp add --transport http autoposter https:// autoposter .ajmalaksar .com /mcpYour assistant gets the playbook.
When an assistant connects, AutoPoster offers it a short playbook: read the queue and your numbers first, follow your brand's rules and each platform's limits, and never approve without you saying so. That copy is always the version AutoPoster runs today.
mkdir -p ~ /.claude /skills /autoposter && curl -fsSL https:// autoposter .ajmalaksar .com /skill -o ~ /.claude /skills /autoposter /SKILL .mdAn installed copy stays as it was the day you ran this. Run the command again to update it.
To keep the file as a skill in Claude, save it as SKILL.md in a folder called autoposter, zip the folder, then choose Customize, Skills, +, Create skill, Upload a skill. A skill you turn on there also loads in Claude Code when you sign in with the same account.
